Patras hosts 2nd Fitness Meeting of Western Greece

The 2nd Fitness Meeting of Western Greece took place in Patras on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Organized by the Gym Owners Association of Achaia, the event brought together scientists, health professionals, and fitness businesses.

The morning session, held at the Argyris Market Conference Center, focused on scientific updates regarding the role of exercise in disease prevention, modern training approaches, the social role of gyms, and entrepreneurial challenges within the fitness industry. The goal was to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and daily practical application.

In the afternoon, the event moved to the Agiou Nikolaou pedestrian zone in central Patras for an open fitness event. This allowed the public to participate in live demonstrations and group training sessions led by instructors. The event was co-organized with the Region of Western Greece and the Achaia Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Municipality of Patras and under the auspices of the Federation of Gym Owners Associations of Greece.
