Patras: New sewage network completed in Agios Stefanos and Chatziliako
DEYAP has completed the construction of a new sewage network serving the areas of Agios Stefanos Saravallio and Chatziliako in the Municipality of Patras. The project includes approximately 7.5 km of pipelines, consisting of 4.72 km in Agios Stefanos and 2.71 km in Chatziliako.
The new networks have been successfully tested and connected to the biological treatment plant. This infrastructure aims to replace septic tanks, protect the environment, and improve the quality of life for residents and visitors. Residents can now submit connection requests electronically via the DEYAP website. Additionally, buildings on the Aktio coastal road are also eligible for connection following completed works.
In other areas, including Vrachneika, Monodendri, Roitika, and Mtidiloglio, network inspections are underway to facilitate upcoming connections. Regarding financial support, the Ministry of Environment and Energy is expected to activate the ESPA subsidy program, ‘I connect with the sewage’, which includes Vrachneika as an eligible area.
