Patras Sailing Club dominates South Greece Optimist and ILCA 4 Cup

The Patras Sailing Club achieved significant success at the first phase of the 2nd South Greece Optimist and ILCA 4 Cup, held in Kalamata on October 10 and 11. The club secured first place in the general standings for both categories.

In the ILCA 4 category, Ioannis Argyros dominated the competition, winning six first-place finishes across six races. In the Optimist category, Marios Matthiopoulos took first place in both the general standings and the U13 boys division. Other notable performances included Leonidas Argyros in second place and Iordanis-Panteleimon Karakapilidis in third for both the general and U13 boys categories.

Elekstra Vasilatou, a recent addition to the club, secured first place in the U13 girls division and fourth in the general standings. Hector Korda also achieved success, placing sixth overall and first in the U16 boys division. Under the guidance of coach Giorgos Chatzikonstantinou, the team is now preparing for the Panhellenic Championship in Lavrio.
