Patras students win international award for Rio-Antirrio Bridge documentary

Students from the Patras High School of Applied Arts and Vocational Training (ENEEGYL Patras) have won second prize in the 8th International Student Competition for Audiovisual and Digital Creation, titled ‘Your story is the story of your city’.

The award-winning documentary, ‘Rio-Antirrio Bridge: When the sea becomes a road’, explores the construction and significance of the iconic bridge. The project was supported by various local entities, including the bridge management company, local maritime authorities, and the Patras Municipal Library, which provided archival materials and interviews.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Tower of Books in the National Library of Greece on Monday, November 9, 2026.
