Patriarch Porfirije blesses new St. Sava College facilities in Sydney

Patriarch Porfirije, along with various bishops, has blessed the foundation stone of a new building for St. Sava College in Warriell, Sydney, and consecrated the Nativity of Christ Chapel at the institution.

The ceremony was attended by New South Wales Premier Chris Minns, the Serbian Ambassador to Australia Rade Stefanović, and representatives of the Metropolis of Australia and New Zealand. Premier Minns praised the Serbian community in Australia, noting the college's growth from 29 students in 2021 to a much larger community today.

During his sermon, Patriarch Porfirije emphasized that the school provides not only academic knowledge but also values rooted in faith and love. He noted that the Serbian community in Australia has maintained its identity and traditions through the Church, which serves as a central pillar for the diaspora.
