Patriarch Porfirije leads liturgy in Belgrade for Mala Gospojina
Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church led a holy liturgy at the Saborna Church in Belgrade to celebrate the feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God, known as Mala Gospojina.
During his sermon, the Patriarch spoke on the nature of faith, describing it as an expression of love and trust that transcends human understanding and the boundaries of the created world. He referenced the biblical figures Joachim and Anne, noting that their faith allowed for the miraculous birth of the Virgin Mary despite biological impossibility.
The celebration also included the ordination of Filip Vuletaš to the diaconate. Following his training within his eparchy, Vuletaš is scheduled to serve the Serbian people in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under the blessing of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, John.
