Patriarch Theophilos visits Russian Orthodox Convent in Jerusalem

Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem visited the Convent of Saint Mary Magdalene of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) in Gethsemane on August 4, 2026. The visit took place during the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene.

Accompanied by a delegation including Metropolitan Kyriakos of Nazareth and Archbishop Constantine of Aristarchus, the Patriarch blessed the Abbess Elizabeth, the nuns of the monastery, and the faithful. The event included a procession following the Divine Liturgy. The ceremony was attended by Metropolitan Mark of Berlin, Bishop Job of Stuttgart, Archimandrite Roman, and Archimandrite Vassian of MISSIA, as well as the Russian Ambassador to Israel, Viktorov.
