Patrice Aminati discusses terminal cancer and marriage breakdown

Influencer Patrice Aminati has shared details regarding her battle with stage four skin cancer and the subsequent end of her marriage to moderator Daniel Aminati. In a ZDF production titled ‘Terra Xplore: Im Kopf von...’, Aminati spoke with psychologist Leon Windscheid about how her diagnosis fundamentally altered her identity and relationship.

Aminati described the physical and emotional toll of the illness, noting that she felt she lost her sense of self and femininity as she became dependent on care. She stated that the struggle to manage her condition contributed to the dissolution of her marriage, which ended in late 2025. She expressed feeling more secure in the ‘nest’ of her parental home during her most difficult periods.

Despite receiving a prognosis that she would not survive past Christmas 2025, Aminati maintains a defiant outlook, stating, ‘Believe the diagnosis, but not the prognosis.’ She shared that she has a list of over 1,000 things she still wishes to experience, with her primary goal being to see her daughter reach her 18th birthday.
