Patrice Béliard and Classic Grandma Colognes Shape Summer Fragrance Trend

Beauty experts note a resurgence of classic "grandma" colognes this summer, highlighting timeless notes such as vanilla, coconut, caramel and pistachio. These affordable, fresh scents are praised for their versatility and ability to reset the olfactory palette, becoming a preferred alternative to newer, sweeter fragrances.

Patrice Béliard, newly appointed CEO of both Parfums de Marly and INITIO Parfums Privés, emphasizes that fragrance choice is a personal, intimate decision. He recounts the historic roots of Parfums de Marly, founded in 2009 and named after the former royal Château de Marly, and describes the brand's latest composition, Athenais, which blends neroli, bergamot, yuzu and vanilla. Béliard also highlights the brand's innovative 3‑D boutique experience that lets visitors virtually explore the recreated palace interiors, underscoring a blend of heritage and modern technology in the perfume world.
