Patricio Salas debuts for Famalicão with decisive role in draw
Mexican forward Patricio ‘Pato’ Salas made his official debut in the Portuguese League with FC Famalicão during a match against Sporting CP. Entering the game in the 82nd minute wearing number 33, Salas played approximately 25 minutes, including stoppage time.
Salas played a decisive role in securing a 1-1 draw for Famalicão. In the first minute of stoppage time, his presence in the penalty area pressured Sporting defender Gonçalo Inácio, resulting in an own goal that allowed Famalicão to rescue a point away from home. With this result, Famalicão moves to four points after six matchdays.
This move to European football follows Salas's tenure with Club América, where he recorded three goals and three assists in 30 appearances. He is currently under contract with Famalicão until the end of the season.
