Patrick Beverley joins Boulazac and reflects on early career in Ukraine

Veteran basketball player Patrick Beverley is joining Boulazac in the Betclic Élite league. Following a career that includes over 700 NBA games, Beverley expressed enthusiasm for the challenge of playing for an underdog club and aims to provide leadership to help the team reach the playoffs.

Reflecting on his professional journey, Beverley recalled the difficult conditions of his start in 2008 with BC Dnipro in the Ukrainian second division. He described a lifestyle involving long train journeys of up to 21 hours and a modest monthly salary of approximately $6,000. He noted that these early experiences, far removed from the comforts of the NBA, helped shape his competitive mentality and his ability to appreciate small victories.
