Patrick Bruel accused of sexual assault; victims and colleagues testify

French singer and actor Patrick Bruel, 66, is facing around thirty accusations of sexual violence. Former TV presenter Flavie Flament filed a rape complaint, stating “Je porte plainte contre Patrick Bruel pour v*ol.” Other industry figures, including actor Jacques Weber and an anonymous professor from Star Academy, said the entertainment world has long been aware of his alleged behavior.

Bruel’s ex‑wife, writer Amanda Sthers, has remained largely silent but has described the situation as “patriarchal” and “suffocating.” The allegations have led to the cancellation of several concert dates, suspension of festival appearances, and temporary removal of his songs from some radio playlists. Bruel continues to deny the charges, with his lawyer asserting “Jamais il n'a cherché à contraindre quiconque à un acte sexuel.”

Public reaction is split, with some fans defending the artist while others call for accountability. The case is ongoing, with multiple legal complaints pending.
