Patrick Bruel cancels summer concerts amid escalating sexual assault allegations
French singer Patrick Bruel has withdrawn from all scheduled summer performances after a wave of sexual‑assault accusations. At least thirteen women have filed complaints, and Médiapart reported around twenty additional testimonies describing inappropriate behavior toward volunteers at the Enfoirés charity shows.
The Nanterre prosecutor’s office has reopened investigations, including a case previously closed in 2020. Bruel’s management announced the cancellation of concerts originally planned for June to September, and ticket holders were refunded without any promise of rescheduling.
Organisers of the Enfoirés shows have decided to exclude Bruel from the 2027 edition, while fellow performers such as Zazie, MC Solaar and Pascal Obispo have publicly reacted—some expressing support for the victims and praising the decision, others noting they had not witnessed any misconduct.
