Patrick Bruel faces additional rape and sexual assault accusations in expanding legal case

Three new complaints have been filed against French singer Patrick Bruel, alleging two separate rapes (in 2000 and 2014) and a sexual assault on a minor (in 1992). The accusations were submitted in late June and early July to the investigating judges in Nanterre and to Paris judicial police, adding to an already extensive dossier that includes four distinct indictment investigations, four assisted‑witness procedures and a total of eight separate cases spanning incidents in Neuilly‑sur‑Seine, Brussels, Perpignan, Ajaccio and abroad. Bruel's lawyers deny the allegations, describing them as false and emphasizing the presumption of innocence.

Actress Christine Berrou, speaking on social media, recounted a 2011 incident in which a well‑known TV presenter asked to speak via Skype and appeared naked, then attempted to pursue a sexual advance before ending the call. Berrou linked her experience to the broader “culture of silence” surrounding misconduct, a theme amplified by the ongoing Bruel investigations.
