Patrick Bruel faces renewed sexual assault accusations from former Bataclan lighting technician

Sabine Langaret, who worked as a lighting technician at the Bataclan in 1992, testified that the singer Patrick Bruel pressed her against a wall and kissed her neck in a dark backstage area, saying, “Il me colle au mur, il se serre contre moi et m’embrasse comme un fou dans le cou.” She said she pushed him away and that he later left, returning briefly to say, “Au revoir joli cou, beau cou, bon coup.”

Langaret’s account adds to a growing number of accusations against Bruel, including claims from TV presenter Flavie Flament and other women in the cultural sector. Approximately thirty women have spoken out since a Mediapart investigation highlighted alleged sexual assaults and rapes involving the 67‑year‑old singer. Three criminal investigations have been opened, and Bruel has denied all allegations while benefiting from the presumption of innocence.

In response to the controversy, Bruel’s summer tour dates were cancelled, though concerts slated for the autumn season remain scheduled pending further developments.
