Patrick Bruel's hotel remains open amid legal proceedings
The five-star hotel L’Isle de Leos, associated with singer Patrick Bruel, continues to operate in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue despite the artist being placed under judicial supervision. Bruel was recently indicted following a 48-hour police custody for allegations including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. He has contested the charges.
While the hotel remains active with nightly rates ranging from 300 to 1,400 euros, the legal situation has sparked public debate. Some guests have stated they are dissociating the owner's personal legal issues from the quality of the establishment's service. Meanwhile, the Mayor of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Pierre Gonzalvez, has distanced himself from the artist, stating he hears the victims' words while acknowledging the hotel's economic importance to the municipality.
