Patrick Bruel's Paris theater canceled amid sexual assault allegations

The final five performances of the play Deuxième partie at Paris's Théâtre Édouard VII were cancelled after feminist group Nous Toutes staged protests outside the venue. The cancellation was announced by the theatre in agreement with the cast.

Singer‑actor Patrick Bruel, 67, is the subject of at least four rape investigations in France and a sexual‑assault probe in Belgium. He has denied all allegations. Under pressure, he withdrew from the charity troupe Les Enfoirés and announced the cancellation of most of his upcoming summer tour, including three concerts scheduled in Montreal and an appearance at the Paléo Festival.

Additional accusations have emerged from several masseuses who claim Bruel solicited sexual acts during massages. Bruel maintains his innocence and says he will defend himself in court.
