Patrick Clancy discusses trauma recovery and EMDR therapy
Patrick Clancy has spoken publicly about his use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to cope with the trauma of losing his three children. In an interview with CBS’ 60 Minutes, Clancy described the therapy as working “like a miracle,” noting that it helped him confront overwhelming memories and significantly reduced his nightmares and night terrors.
Clancy’s children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—died in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023. His ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, has faced legal proceedings regarding the deaths. The interview follows a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case after a jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict.
Clancy also discussed his personal life and his marriage to Dr. Rachel Danis. The couple, who married in April 2026, are currently expecting their first child. Danis shared details regarding their meeting and her efforts to support Clancy through his ongoing grief.
