Patrick Mahomes Sr. seeks court permission to attend son's games
Patrick Mahomes Sr. has filed a motion in the 7th District Court in Tyler, Texas, seeking judicial authorization to travel out of state to attend seven Kansas City Chiefs games. The request is necessary due to legal restrictions placed on him following a 2024 DWI arrest, which resulted in a five-year probation sentence.
The motion specifies intended travel to Kansas City, Missouri; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Cincinnati, Ohio. To comply with his supervision, Mahomes Sr. has acknowledged that he must submit to urinalysis testing both before and after each trip and notify a supervising officer of his departures.
Court records indicate that Mahomes Sr. is currently monitored by an ankle monitor and has completed 16 weeks of outpatient treatment along with 160 hours of community service. His probation was previously extended by two years following an arrest in February 2026 for violating probation terms.
