Denver Broncos suffer multiple injuries in loss to 49ers

The Denver Broncos suffered multiple key injuries during their 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. All-Pro cornerback Patrick Surtain II sustained a non-contact injury to his right ankle in the first half and was helped off the field. While initial fears suggested a serious Achilles issue, reports indicate he likely avoided a long-term injury and will undergo further testing.

Other significant injuries included cornerback Riley Moss, who was ruled out due to a rib injury, and wide receiver Pat Bryant, who was carted off the field with a sprained ankle. Bryant is expected to miss several weeks.

The loss marks the fourth consecutive week the Broncos have struggled with slow starts, contributing to their 2-2 record. Quarterback Bo Nix addressed questions regarding his own ankle health, stating he feels ‘as healthy as ever’ despite previous swelling concerns.
