Patrick 'Tate' Adamiak pardoned by President Trump
President Donald Trump has issued an immediate pardon to Patrick 'Tate' Adamiak, a former U.S. Navy sailor. Adamiak had been serving a 20-year federal prison sentence following a 2022 raid by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
At the time of the pardon, Adamiak had approximately 16 years remaining on his sentence. The charges against him involved weapons possession related to items described by the Second Amendment Foundation as inert, collectible devices, such as toy firearms and RPG replicas with holes drilled into their receivers.
Advocacy groups, including the Second Amendment Foundation, have criticized the original investigation and conviction, alleging that the government targeted Adamiak unfairly. Adamiak intends to pursue legal action to clear his name now that his felony convictions have been overturned.
