Patrick van Bloeme launches Limpid for synthetic persona research
Patrick van Bloeme, co-founder of Novatris and former leader at Toluna, has launched Limpid, a SaaS platform designed for qualitative research using synthetic personas instead of human respondents.
The platform allows companies to conduct end-to-end studies—from initial briefing to final deliverables—within a few hours. Limpid utilizes specific populations of synthetic personas built from user briefs, combining individual interviews with group discussions known as ‘Focus Chats’. The system generates various outputs, including reports, methodological appendices, presentations, moodboards, and infographics. An integrated analyst agent allows users to query results, while an assistant named ‘Coach’ helps guide study protocols.
Limpid is intended to explore behaviors, usages, and reactions to hypothetical concepts or situations, such as price hikes or new health crises. However, the company notes that the platform does not claim statistical representativeness and is not intended for quantitative polling or sensory experience studies.
