Patrik Schaal scores first goal of season for Olympique Lyon

Czech midfielder Patrik Schaal scored his first goal of the competitive season for Olympique Lyon during a Europa League match against Anderlecht. Entering the game in the 70th minute, Schaal extended Lyon's lead to 3-1 by scoring with a backheel following a shot attempt by Keita Nakamura.

Following the match, Schaal noted that his teammates teased him about the style of the goal, comparing it to a typical goal by Pavl. While he does not view the goal as a personal rebirth, he expressed satisfaction at scoring after a period of providing assists but lacking goals.

Lyon secured a 2-1 victory away at Anderlecht, maintaining a perfect record in the Europa League group stage. The win is seen as a significant confidence booster for the team ahead of their upcoming match against Nice.
