Patrika Evence, 1999 Saint Lucia Carnival Queen, passes away

The Carnival Planning and Management Committee (CPMC) and the Saint Lucia Carnival Queen Pageant community are mourning the death of Patrika Evence, who served as Saint Lucia’s National Carnival Queen in 1999.

Evence passed away on Friday, drawing numerous tributes on social media. Those close to her described her as a “trusted confidant” and a “guiding mentor.” The CPMC issued a statement noting that her title reflected “grace, beauty, confidence and the unforgettable mark she left on Saint Lucia’s Carnival history.”
