Patriot Resources expands copper discovery corridor in Zambia

Patriot Resources has extended the prospective geophysical footprint of its recently confirmed Tonic copper discovery in Zambia’s Mumbwa‑Kitumba corridor by about 5.5 kilometres. Ground magnetics and induced‑polarisation surveys have defined two new high‑priority drill targets, designated Blocks 1 and 2, within a surveyed area of roughly 163 hectares.

Block 2 covers a 600 m² area centred 3 km southeast of the original Tonic drill zone and is interpreted to lie within a syenite host showing strong magnetic lineaments and high IP chargeability anomalies, suggesting sulphide‑bearing shear zones and copper‑silver shoots. Block 1, about 2.5 km southeast of Block 2, spans 700 m by 400 m and features a syenite‑sandstone‑shale setting with iron‑rich alteration, quartz‑carbonate veining and signs of hydrothermal fluid flow. Both blocks display coherent IP anomalies coinciding with magnetic highs, with modeled zones 20‑60 m wide extending to depths of 160 m. The mineralisation is linked to late‑stage Hook Granite activity and is considered part of a broader IOCG province.
