Canadian mining firms advance uranium and rare earth exploration

Several Canadian mining companies have announced significant exploration milestones and drilling programs targeting critical minerals.

Purecore Metals has secured an option to acquire up to 100 percent of the 35,000-hectare Yurchison uranium project in the Athabasca Basin through an agreement with Skyharbour Resources. The project is located near the Rabbit Lake complex and features historical values of up to 0.30% U3O8.

Primary Hydrogen has received a Mines Act permit valid until 2031 for its Wicheeda North rare earth project in British Columbia. The company plans to conduct 1,500 meters of drilling this autumn to test identified anomaly clusters. The program is fully funded through previous financing.

Infini Resources is preparing for a 5,000-meter diamond drilling campaign following successful technical progress at its Portland Creek and Reynolds-Reitenbach Lake projects. At Portland Creek, field crews recorded uranium values of up to 2,800 ppm through portable XRF screening and identified significant radiometric anomalies.
