Patriots for Europe radical right parties meet in Ericeira

The first “Patriots Academy” is scheduled to take place in Ericeira, Portugal, from September 25 to 27. The event brings together leaders and youth members from various radical right political parties within the Patriots for Europe family in the European Parliament, including Portugal’s Chega.

Participants include representatives from Fidesz (Hungary), FPÖ (Austria), Lega (Italy), Rassemblement National (France), Vox (Spain), and Vlaams Belang (Belgium). The initiative, which has been in preparation for eight months, aims to train and harmonize the youth delegations of these different parties to align political strategies and sensitivities across Europe.

António Tânger Corrêa, a Chega MEP and vice-president of the Patriots, advocated for the event to be held in Portugal. While Albufeira was initially considered as a location, Ericeira was ultimately selected for the gathering at the Vila Galé Hotel. Scheduled debates include discussions on the future of the European Union and the political vision for 2050.
