Patritalia bids 2.5 billion euros to acquire Ducati

The Italian investment firm Patritalia has submitted an indicative offer of 2.5 billion euros to acquire Ducati from the Volkswagen Group. Ducati, which is currently managed under Audi AG, is an iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

According to documentation released by Patritalia, the firm first expressed interest in June. While Audi has indicated that Ducati is not currently for sale, Patritalia has proceeded with a cash offer intended to cover all shares, excluding taxes, debts, and other obligations. The holding company aims to return significant Italian brands to domestic ownership and has expressed interest in extending its offer to facilitate a potential takeover by the end of 2026.
