Patritalia bids 2.5 billion euros to acquire Ducati

The Italian investment firm Patritalia has made a public takeover bid of 2.5 billion euros to acquire all shares of the motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. The goal of the firm, founded in 2025, is to return significant Italian brands to domestic ownership.

Ducati has been part of the Volkswagen Group since July 2012, following its acquisition by Audi subsidiary Lamborghini. Patritalia's official offer includes a ten-page document containing the formal bid and correspondence with Volkswagen, Audi, and Lamborghini. While Patritalia indicated that Audi responded to an initial expression of interest in June, the specific content of that response has not been released.
