Patrizia Reggiani, ex‑Lady Gucci, in intensive care after vacation illness

Patrizia Reggiani, 77, the former wife of fashion magnate Maurizio Gucci, was admitted to the intensive‑care unit of the Infermi Hospital in Rimini following a sudden malore while on holiday in Riccione. The episode occurred in the late morning of a Monday, when she was on the terrace of a four‑star hotel (Perla Verde). Her personal assistant called emergency services, an ambulance arrived, and she was transferred to Rimini for urgent treatment. Doctors have kept the cause under strict confidentiality; hypotheses include prolonged exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight. The prognosis remains reserved, although recent updates note a gradual clinical improvement that still requires constant monitoring.

Reggiani is widely known for having orchestrated the 1995 murder of her husband, Maurizio Gucci, for which she was sentenced to 26 years, served about 17, and was released in 2016. Her story resurfaced internationally after the 2021 film “House of Gucci.”
