Patrocínio and Porto implement new public management protocols

In Patrocínio, Brazil, the Municipal Secretariat of Environment has announced that all requests for the cutting and pruning of trees in public areas must now be submitted exclusively through the 1Doc digital platform. This measure aims to modernize public management, increase transparency, and accelerate service delivery for locations such as central medians, schools, and health units. Officials stated that the digital system will allow for better organization, formal tracking, and more efficient internal workflows.

In Porto, Portugal, the City Council is finalizing a collaboration protocol with Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) to manage aspects of the Via de Cintura Interna (VCI). The agreement, expected to be signed within a month, will cover landscaping, land cleaning, and access management. The protocol also aims to facilitate permanent interaction between the municipality and IP, potentially including a permanent towing system to mitigate congestion caused by accidents. Additionally, new restrictions will take effect prohibiting heavy vehicles without local destinations from using the VCI between 07:00 and 21:00 on weekdays.
