Patron Saint Kinga's Name Day Celebration Draws Crowds in Świdnik, Poland
Residents of Świdnik gathered for a festive name‑day celebration of Saint Kinga that combined a Sunday mass with a family‑friendly fair. Attendees enjoyed attractions such as a lavender corner, book stall, homemade cake and pierogi market, inflatable play areas, cotton candy, alpaca visits and pony rides. An accompanying charity drive allowed participants to donate blood and register as potential bone‑marrow donors.
A musical evening highlighted the event, featuring singer Krystyna Giżowska backed by the band Blue Sounds, who performed her well‑known hits to enthusiastic applause. The series of “Musical Evenings at Saint Kinga’s” has been a popular annual tradition, financed by the local Civic Budget and offered free to all.
