Patronato hires Marcelo Fuentes as technical director

Club Atlético Patronato has officially hired Marcelo Fuentes as the new technical director of its professional squad. This marks Fuentes' fifth term with the club, returning to the institution after 12 years.

Fuentes takes over following the departure of interim coach Marcelo Candia. The appointment comes during a difficult period for the team, which is currently in the direct relegation zone and has failed to secure a victory in 12 consecutive matches. His contract is set to run until December.

Fuentes will begin training the squad immediately as the team prepares for its upcoming match against Atlanta at the Grella Stadium. While the full coaching staff is still being finalized, the manager aims to address a squad impacted by recent results and player injuries, including concerns regarding Valentín Pereyra and Maxi Rueda.
