Patryk M. ‘Wielki Bu’ faces trial in Gdańsk for organized crime

The trial of Patryk M., known as ‘Wielki Bu’, has commenced at the District Court in Gdańsk. He faces several charges, including participation in an organized criminal group operating in Poland, the Netherlands, and Spain between 2017 and 2018.

According to the prosecution, the group was involved in the production and wholesale distribution of various narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, amphetamine, hashish, mephedrone, clephedrone, and ecstasy. Specific charges against Patryk M. include the trafficking of 17 kg of marijuana and 2 kg of amphetamine. He is also accused of participating in the theft of an Audi Q7, altering its VIN, and committing fraud during its subsequent sale for 41,000 PLN. Three of these offenses were allegedly committed under conditions of recidivism.

Patryk M. has pleaded not guilty and issued a statement suggesting the case has a political character. His defense attorney has requested the revocation of his temporary arrest, proposing a 500,000 PLN bail, police supervision, the surrender of his passport, and a ban on leaving the country. A decision on this request is expected by Wednesday.
