Pattaya police fire at vehicle tires during high-speed drug suspect chase
Police in Banglamung engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a suspected drug user on October 3 near Pattaya, Thailand. The chase began in the Nong Prue area near a school and a temple around 9 p.m.
During the incident, officers fired shots at the tires of a white Honda Civic to stop the vehicle. Some stray rounds struck a nearby school wall. The driver reportedly reversed toward the patrol unit before fleeing toward Sukhumvit Road and Sattahip.
The pursuit lasted approximately 10 kilometers and ended on Thung Klom–Tan Man Road after the vehicle's tire burst. The driver, who claimed he panicked due to drug use, was taken for drug testing and further investigation.
