Thailand: Assaults reported in Pattaya and Chon Buri

In Pattaya, a 51-year-old Scottish man was hospitalized with head injuries after being attacked by his Thai partner during a dispute at a restaurant. The woman, identified as 49-year-old Prang, told police she lost control and struck him with a glass and a bottle after he allegedly confessed his love for another woman during a private conversation.

In a separate incident in Chon Buri, a ride-hailing driver reported being harassed by a Chinese passenger during a journey. The driver, Jakree, stated that a Thai-Chinese couple engaged in a loud argument fueled by jealousy. During the dispute, the Chinese man reportedly struck the driver’s seat and threw banknotes at the driver’s face, causing a distraction while the vehicle was in motion.
