Patty Jenkins comments on Paramount-Warner Bros. merger

Director Patty Jenkins has commented on the upcoming Paramount-Warner Bros. merger, describing the current state of the industry as “such chaos.” Speaking at an event in New York, Jenkins noted that she has been “tuning it out” due to the perceived poor condition of the studio system.

When asked if she would collaborate with Paramount CEO David Ellison following the merger, Jenkins remained non-committal, stating, “I never say no to anything because so many people have different projects. Something may come along, and they’ve been making some great films, and who knows.”

Reports indicate that executives Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy have already approached Jenkins, along with other high-profile filmmakers, to submit pitches for upcoming projects. While the merger has faced opposition from industry professionals, Jenkins expressed a cautious openness to future opportunities should the right projects arise.
