Pau clubs add new signings in rugby and football

The French Top 14 rugby side Section Paloise announced the signing of 20‑year‑old Australian centre Zach Fittler from the Waratahs. The son of former rugby league star Brad Fittler, Zach joins Pau’s development squad on a one‑season deal after playing for the Junior Wallabies at the U20 World Championship, where he scored three tries.

Pau FC also bolstered its squad, bringing in experienced 36‑year‑old goalkeeper Brice Maubleu on a short‑term contract and 19‑year‑old central defender Axel Dodote on loan. Maubleu is expected to provide immediate stability between the posts, while Dodote, a product of the Saint‑Étienne academy and former French youth international, is seen as a talent to develop for the future.
