Paucarpata residents protest unfinished Miguel Grau Avenue roadwork

Residents of the Miguel Grau Avenue in the Paucarpata district have staged a protest to demand the completion and correction of a roadwork project before its official delivery. Although the District Municipality of Paucarpata had scheduled an inauguration for August 30, the event was postponed as locals claim the infrastructure is not yet fit for use.

Protesters, including resident Sonia Luque, have reported significant technical issues, such as uneven road surfaces and a lack of proper drainage. There are specific concerns that these defects will cause flooding or damage to homes during the upcoming rainy season. Residents are calling for the municipality to refuse the official handover from the executing company until all necessary details and corrections are addressed.
