Paul Belmondo has shared a personal anecdote regarding the transport of his father Jean-Paul Belmondo’s ashes following the actor's death in September 2021. Due to difficulties securing a taxi to reach Montparnasse station, Paul Belmondo opted to take the Paris Metro to ensure he could catch his train to Brittany.

The actor's final wishes were to have his ashes scattered in Piriac-sur-Mer, a location significant to the family. During the journey on Metro Line 6, the trip took on a symbolic tone when the train passed near the Bir-Hakeim station, a location closely associated with Jean-Paul Belmondo’s cinematic career.
