Paul Belmondo transitions from racing to theatre

After thirty years in professional motor racing, Paul Belmondo is transitioning his focus toward a career in theatre. The 63-year-old, son of the late actor Jean-Paul Belmondo, noted that his father had long encouraged him to pursue acting rather than the dangerous profession of racing.

Belmondo is currently starring in the new boulevard comedy ‘Le Complexe des inséparables’, directed by Vincent Messager. He shares the stage with Alexandra Vandernoot in a production that runs through September 22, with a tour planned for 2027. The play follows a long-married couple who attempt to navigate social pressures by engaging in consensual infidelity to fit in with their peers.

This marks Belmondo's tenth stage production. He expressed a deep appreciation for the live connection with audiences and the process of character immersion.
