Paul Bettany discusses lasting recognition from ‘A Knight’s Tale’

Actor Paul Bettany shared that he is still frequently recognized by the moniker ‘the naked guy’ due to a scene in his early career film, ‘A Knight’s Tale’. Speaking to People magazine, the 55-year-old actor noted that even in New York City, cab drivers often identify him based on his character Geoffrey Chaucer walking naked through the streets in the 2001 movie.

Bettany also reflected on his connection to his late co-star, Heath Ledger. He admitted that he has not watched ‘A Knight’s Tale’ since its initial release because he finds it too difficult to watch after Ledger’s death in 2008. He expressed that he remains overwhelmed with sadness when remembering Ledger, describing him as an ‘incredibly creative force’.
