Paul Bettany teases Vision's future in upcoming MCU series VisionQuest

Paul Bettany has provided insight into the future of his character, Vision, following the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series, ‘VisionQuest’. The series, created by Terry Matalas, is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, with episodes released weekly.

The show follows the ‘White Vision’ iteration of the character, who begins the series as a repurposed weapon. Bettany noted that the narrative arc involves the character escaping his controllers to seek agency. He described the conclusion of the series as ‘a really exciting springboard for what Vision might do in the future’, suggesting the character may remain part of the MCU continuity.

VisionQuest’ picks up years after the events of ‘WandaVision’. The plot involves White Vision living in hiding while studying humanity and interacting with AI programs within his system. James Spader is set to return to voice Ultron. Bettany also reflected on his personal connection to the character, stating that Vision resonates with ‘misfits’ and those who have felt like outsiders.
