Paul Evans elected to Cotswold District Council

Paul Evans, a Liberal Democrat candidate, has been elected to represent The Beeches ward on the Cotswold District Council following a by-election held on 12 March 2026. The election was triggered by the resignation of Nigel Robbins.

The voter turnout for the by-election was 33.8%. With this result, the political composition of the Cotswold District Council consists of 22 Liberal Democrat councillors, 10 Conservative councillors, one Green Party councillor, and one Independent councillor. The Liberal Democrats maintain their majority on the council.
