Paul Gauguin Cruises announces 2027 French Polynesia itineraries
Paul Gauguin Cruises has announced its 2027 itinerary for French Polynesia, focusing on itineraries that extend beyond traditional destinations like Bora Bora to reach lesser-known islands and shallow lagoons. The cruise line will operate 34 voyages throughout the year, with durations ranging from seven to 20 nights.
A central theme of the 2027 season is marine conservation, following the Government of French Polynesia's 2025 announcement of Tainui Atea. This marine protected area covers nearly 2 million square miles and encompasses more than 100 islands, safeguarding diverse ecosystems including sharks, whales, and coral reefs.
To highlight these environmental efforts, a specific 11-night Society Islands and Tuamotus sailing in May 2027 will feature a partnership with The Explorers Club. The voyage will include National Geographic underwater photographer and filmmaker Jad Davenport, who will provide presentations on marine ecosystems. The cruise line is also diversifying its passenger base by offering more short-term 7-night itineraries and options for solo travelers and groups.
