Paul Little receives high school diploma 80 years after leaving school
Paul Little, a 98-year-old resident of Iowa, has received his high school diploma more than 80 years after leaving school. Little originally attended Dallas Center High School in Grimes but was forced to drop out during his junior year in 1946 to work and support his family.
Throughout his life, Little and his late wife, Eleanor, supported local education through various initiatives. Most recently, Little donated $50,000 to the Dallas Center-Grimes Community Education Center to fund scholarships for graduating seniors.
To honor his long-standing generosity and his connection to the community, officials from the Dallas Center-Grimes Community Education Center visited his nursing home on September 17 to present him with his high school diploma.
