Paul McCartney and Céline Dion collaborate for ‘High in the Clouds’ film

Music icons Paul McCartney and Céline Dion have collaborated in the studio for the upcoming animated film ‘High in the Clouds’. The project is an adaptation of McCartney’s children’s book of the same name, which explores themes of freedom of expression and the power of music.

McCartney expressed his enthusiasm for Dion’s contribution on social media, stating he was ‘blown away’ by her talent after hearing her recordings. The film, directed by Toby Genkel, features a star-studded voice cast including Ringo Starr, Idris Elba, Lionel Richie, and Jimmy Fallon.

The animation follows a young squirrel named Wirral on an adventure alongside a group of rebels. While McCartney is composing original songs for the film, the soundtrack will be handled by composer Michael Giacchino. The movie is expected to be released in theaters in 2027.
