Paul Mendy attracts AC Milan interest amid strong Cagliari form

Cagliari striker Paul Mendy has drawn significant interest from AC Milan following his performances in Serie A. The 196-centimeter Senegalese forward has become a key figure in Fabio Pisacane’s tactical system, where he is valued for his defensive work rate, pressing, and ability to provide balance to the midfield despite playing a central role.

Statistical analysis indicates that Mendy has a low frequency of ball touches inside the opponent's penalty area, averaging one touch every 33 minutes. While this is lower than other Serie A strikers, reports suggest this is due to his extensive tactical responsibilities off the ball.

Despite these statistics, Mendy has demonstrated clinical finishing, including a decisive goal in a recent victory against Atalanta and a brace during his Serie A debut. AC Milan has reportedly activated its scouting department to closely monitor the player, noting his physical presence, technical foundation, and tactical maturity.
