Paul Onuachu gifts new car to former grassroots coach

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has gifted a brand new car to his former grassroots coach, Hyginus Okoye, in Lagos. The gesture serves as a tribute to the mentors who guided Onuachu during his early career at Young Stars FC in Satellite Town.

Okoye, who currently serves as the head coach of Young Stars, expressed deep appreciation for the gift, noting that it would significantly ease his commute to training sessions. Onuachu’s history of supporting his early connections includes previously gifting a car to Young Stars founder Osahon Emokpae and providing financial support during Emokpae’s illness.

Following the news, football promoters have praised Onuachu, citing him as a positive example for other professional players to follow. Goldenmouth Chilaka, a youth developer in Festac Town, described the act as a rare occurrence and urged both local and foreign-based Nigerian footballers to show similar appreciation for those working in grassroots talent development.
