Paul Pelosi Charged with Misdemeanor Hit-and-Run in Napa County

Paul Pelosi, 86, was cited on July 3, 2026 after his brown 2025 Maserati GranCabrio convertible struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in Yountville, Napa County, California. Witnesses reported he briefly stopped, then drove away. The parked car—identified in some reports as a Tesla—sustained major rear damage; no injuries were reported.

Police confirmed Pelosi had no alcohol in his system. The Napa County District Attorney filed a misdemeanor hit‑and‑run charge for failing to stop and provide driver information, plus an infraction for making an unlawful turn. He is scheduled to appear in Napa County Superior Court on August 14.

Pelosi previously pleaded guilty in 2022 to a misdemeanor DUI in the same county, serving two days of an original five‑day sentence and receiving three years’ probation, fines and an ignition‑interlock requirement. He was also the victim of a 2022 hammer attack at his San Francisco home. The district attorney indicated the case may be referred to the DMV for a driving‑ability evaluation.
